How to rotate a PDF page
To rotate a PDF, drop the file into the box and click the pages you want to turn. Use the left or right control to rotate the selection by 90°, or rotate every page at once. SailPDF writes the rotation into the PDF itself, so the file opens upright in every viewer, not just here.
Add your PDF
Choose a file or drop it in. Every page appears as a thumbnail so you can see what is sideways.
Turn the pages
Click pages to select them, then rotate left or right. Shift-click selects a run of pages.
Download
Press Rotate PDF. The rotation is saved into the document and downloads straight away.
What Rotate PDF does and does not do
Rotation is written as a page property, so the pages stay sharp — nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed. Pages that were already rotated keep their existing angle and are turned from there. Rotating does not change page size or reorder pages, and it cannot fix a scan that was photographed at an odd angle; that needs a deskew tool. Up to 200 MB or 1000 pages per file.
Private by design
SailPDF rotates files with code that runs in your browser. Your PDF is never sent to a server.
Questions
How do I rotate a PDF and save it?
Drop the PDF in, select the pages, rotate them, then press Rotate PDF. The download contains the rotation as part of the file, so it stays upright wherever it is opened.
Is rotating a PDF free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no page limit beyond your device memory. The tool runs entirely in your browser.
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Click that page to select it and use the left or right control. Only the selected pages are changed; the rest are left exactly as they were.
Will rotating reduce the quality?
No. Rotation is stored as a page attribute rather than by re-rendering the page, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
My scan is upside down. Can I fix it?
Yes — rotate the page twice for a half turn. If the page is scanned at an angle rather than a right angle, rotation will not fix it; that needs deskewing.
What does “select landscape pages only” do?
It selects every page that is wider than it is tall. That is usually the set that needs turning upright in a mixed document.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The rotation happens inside your browser tab, so the file never leaves your device.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in mobile Safari and Chrome. Very large files are limited by the phone’s memory, so prefer a computer above roughly 100 MB.
