How to convert a PDF to JPG
To convert a PDF to JPG, drop the file in, choose a resolution and a page range, then press Convert to images. Each page becomes one image. A single page downloads as a JPG; several pages arrive together in a ZIP, named by page number so the order stays obvious.
Add your PDF
Choose a file or drop it in. The first pages appear as previews.
Choose format and resolution
JPG for photos and sharing, PNG for sharp text. 150 DPI suits screens, 300 DPI suits print.
Convert and download
Press Convert. One page downloads as an image; several download as one ZIP.
What PDF to JPG does and does not do
Each page is rendered at the resolution you choose, so text and vector artwork come out as sharp as that resolution allows — a 72 DPI export is fine on screen and soft in print. Pages are never cropped. Very large documents at 300 DPI need a lot of memory, so export in batches if the browser struggles. Password-protected files must be unlocked first.
Private by design
SailPDF renders pages in your browser. Your PDF is never sent to a server.
Questions
How do I convert a PDF to JPG?
Drop the PDF in, pick a resolution and page range, and press Convert to images. Each page becomes a JPG, and several pages arrive in a ZIP.
What resolution should I choose?
150 DPI is right for screens, email and slides. Use 300 DPI when the image will be printed, and 72 DPI when file size matters more than detail.
JPG or PNG?
JPG gives smaller files and is fine for photos. PNG is lossless and keeps text and line art crisp, but the files are larger.
Can I export only some pages?
Yes. Enter a range such as 1-3, 5, 8- in the Pages field and only those pages are rendered.
Why did I get a ZIP?
Browsers cannot start many downloads from one click, so multiple images are bundled. A single page downloads as a plain image file.
Is the text still selectable?
No. Once a page becomes an image it is pixels, not text. Use PDF to Word or Extract text if you need editable text.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Rendering happens inside your browser tab, so the PDF never leaves your device.
Is there a page limit?
Up to 1000 pages and 200 MB, though 300 DPI exports of very long documents are limited by your device memory.
